Electrical Control System Process
HYDAC's Electrical Control Panels deliver unmatched reliability, safety, and efficiency. Engineered to meet industry standard, the AS/NZS 61439 our panels are tailored to optimise performance in demanding environments.
Electrical Control Panel Systems Process
The Electrical Control Systems process at HYDAC is a comprehensive nine-step procedure designed to ensure the quality and safety of our products. Each step is meticulously planned and executed to meet industry standards and customer requirements, from design to testing and delivery.
Requirements
We capture customer requirements and provide expert opinion on the solution.
We analyse project feasibility and we aim to work within the customer’s budget and scope.
Design and Estimate
Our experienced and professional team provide fast and accurate turnaround of proposal.
We also provide:
- Detailed tender costings and time required
- Piping and instrumentation diagrams, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel layouts
- Pre-sales support.
Review
All our designs and proposals are peer reviewed to ensure quality standards.
Conversations with department managers and team members bring clarity to pain points, strengths, weaknesses, objectives, and compliance issues.
The status of customer satisfaction is monitored and reviewed.
The inability to meet quality objectives is addressed and suitable action is taken to redress the situation.
Approval
All design documents, as agreed between us and the customer, are submitted for comment.
At this stage the customer can request the implementation of changes to a process or product.
The request is executed if deemed acceptable. Whether signed off immediately or whether allowance is made for changes, no work is commenced until the customer has clearly understood, reviewed, and signed off the project.
Purchase Order & Parts Procurement
Purchase orders are central to the purchasing process, playing an important role in controlling business purchases.
And even though much of the project is executed in-house, we do at times contract with suppliers to deliver required services and parts.
It is here that a purchase order ensures clarity and agreement between parties as to type of goods ordered, quality, and costing.
Production & Wiring
Panels enter the production facility and are built by expert industrial electricians and apprentices who has great attention to details, high standard of quality and flexibility to follow customers' requirements. In this stage there are great collaboration between engineers, electricians and programmers.
The process is characterised by:
- Computerised instructions
- Automated wiring
- State-of-the-art devices and equipment
- Accuracy
- Optimal quality and speed
- Fast flows
Programming
Engineering is, at its core, the process of converting information into designs that solve problems.
Our engineers have access to abundant, good information, including relevant information storage, search, and retrieval technology, to produce better designs.
Often this information can be automatically transformed into designs, ensuring accuracy.
Having programmed numerous projects in the past, the programming and testing of all embedded devices by our team of electrical, electronic, and mechatronic engineers is just about full proof.
Factory Acceptance Test
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is an integral part of our process in the quest to ensure all components or systems are made according to relevant standards and specifications. This is to help validate that equipment meets intended purpose.
This means that embedded devices are put through a series of meticulous tests and checks before delivery to the customer.
The customer is invited to a demonstration of their system at our production facility before commissioning to verify that all requirements have been met.
The customer can also choose our Remote Factory Acceptance Testing, allowing them to observe the live testing from their office. With high-quality live stream cameras and a fast internet connection, we ensure a smooth and seamless remote FAT experience from our Melbourne factory.
Commissioning & Tech Support
Our team of engineers can commission on-site or remotely.
They are experienced at researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving customer issues as they arise.
Not only do they have expert problem-solving skills and knowledge of how operating systems and software work, they are also logical thinkers with interpersonal skills.
This timely technical support ensures that customers solve any problems they experience at an early and manageable stage.
