Our products are designed, engineered, manufactured and tested in Australia.

A dedicated team of local engineers with experience across all areas of fluid technology can come up with a customised solution for you.

Our team provides bespoke designs and drawings using the latest software and technology such as SolidWorks 3D CAD, Microsoft Project, and HyDraw for hydraulic schematic diagrams among others.

Wheel lock hydraulic power unit

The wheel lock hydraulic power unit (HPU), was designed, manufactured and factory tested in Australia. The wheel lock HPU offers increased capacity to reduce cycle times and is fitted with a condition monitoring suite to assist maintenance activities and reduce unplanned downtime.

The project's location was Nelson Point, Port Hedland. Features include:

  • remote pump load testing
  • full redundancy on motor/pump sets
  • cyclone category 5 approved construction
  • 12” HMI to monitor key system parameters such as oil condition, pump pressure and flow, oil temperature and filter life
  • electrical control panels with Flex I/O and fibre optic communication.

HYDAC continues to invest in local manufacturing in Australia and New Zealand.

Local testing

Our state-of-the art hydraulic power units and lubrication systems with advanced fluid power and electronic and filtration technology offer peace of mind. All systems are pressure tested and flushed to an ISO 4406 standard suitable to all customer applications. Product knowledge is accumulated through high-performance test rigs, wind tunnels and other TÜV certified equipment.

Performance tests in terms of heat exchange, pressure drop, air resistance, corrosion, fatigue resistance, noise, thermal shock and vibration are also executed and analysed in our "Centre of Excellence" facility. This facility is highly capable not only in terms of equipment but also processes and software simulation tools such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element method (FEM) and KULI.

Warehousing

Advanced automation in accordance

with Industry 4.0

HYDAC has installed two vertical storage robots in its warehouse to increase safety and efficiency in the workplace and improve picking speed and accuracy. The robot depicted in the video is 6.5m tall and has capacity for up to 5000 bin locations.

HYDAC has branches in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.

This means our warehouses are in close proximity to you, making for minimal delivery time.

We also have the latest technology to make transactions even smoother, including:

  • categorised stock
  • barcoded products, and
  • an inventory management system.

Our inventory management system improves our tracking, predicting and reordering program and, most importantly, helps us to deliver products faster to you, our customer.
